Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
